CAVWA is launching CAVWA Café – Career Path Series for the Vietnamese professionals living in Calgary to network in person. The event is also for those who are planning to immigrate/emigrate to Calgary who wants to get an insight about the professions you wish to pursue in Calgary. If you want to broaden your professional network, join this event in person to meet with other Vietnamese professionals in Calgary. The three amazing speakers represent the professions of HR, Finance and Medical – the areas many Vietnamese professionals are keen to pursue in Canada. • Thuy Pham graduated from University of Alberta in 1996. She has been working in community pharmacy the last 26 years including Shoppers Drug Mart, Calgary CoOp and opened up her own pharmacy business.  She loves serving in the Vietnamese Community. She lives with her husband and 3 children in Calgary.
• Phuong Tran is a HRIS Analyst for Transcanada Pipelines. She got her MBA from UofC in 2021 and graduated from Lethbridge University, major in HR management. Prior to coming to Canada, Phuong worked in big banks in Vietnam such as ACB and VietinBank in the capacity of HR/recruiter.
• Emma Phung is a Senior Finance Manager with Bell Canada. Despite her extensive experiences in Vietnam, Emma had to restart her career as a Business Analyst after coming to Canada with her family (husband and one daughter) in 2014. She is open to sharing about her journey: the challenges in the initial job search, and how she maneuvered to continue pursuing her career in a foreign country.
